Four injured in separate shootings in Paterson

The police are investigating three separate shootings that occurred in Paterson on Saturday, leaving four individuals injured.

At approximately 11:58 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 21st Avenue and East 33rd Street following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police found a 26-year-old male from Paterson suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. Shortly after, police were informed that a 23-year-old male from Paterson had also arrived at the same hospital via private vehicle, seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound. A potential crime scene was located by investigators.

Earlier that evening, at around 9:33 p.m., officers responded to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where they encountered a juvenile victim from Paterson who had been shot. Police determined that the shooting took place near the intersection of River Street and Lyon Street.

The first incident occurred at approximately 7:12 p.m., when police were called to the area of Park Avenue and Carroll Street on a report of a shooting. Officers found a 26-year-old male from Paterson with a non-fatal gunshot wound. He was also transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. Police identified a potential crime scene at the location.

All four victims are receiving treatment, and the investigations into these shootings are ongoing.
