Paterson police responded to a reported shooting near West Broadway and Belmont Avenue on Friday night.

Officers arrived at the scene at approximately 11:44 p.m. and found a 48-year-old man from Paterson suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. The man was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

A potential crime scene was located, and the investigation remains ongoing.
