Police were called to Main and Slater streets at approximately 8:12 p.m. Wednesday following reports of a shooting that injured two men.

A 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, both from Paterson, were transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in a private vehicle for treatment of non-fatal gunshot wounds, according to authorities.

Officers located a potential crime scene in the area. The investigation remains active, and no further details have been released.
