A man was hospitalized following a shooting late on Christmas night in Paterson, police said.

Officers were dispatched around 11:46 p.m. on December 25 to assist a 41-year-old man suffering from a nonfatal gunshot wound. The victim, who is from Paterson, was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

According to police, the shooting took place in the area of 12th Avenue and Carroll Street.
