Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon in the area of Highland Street and Park Place. Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 1:09 p.m. following a report of gunfire.

A 28-year-old man from Paterson was found with non-fatal gunshot wounds. He was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities located a potential crime scene in the area and are continuing their investigation.
