A 16-year-old was injured in a shooting near Market and East 19th streets on Friday afternoon, police said.

The shooting was reported at approximately 5:03 p.m., prompting officers to respond to the scene. The victim was found suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds and was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
