A winter weather advisory remains in effect from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, with mixed precipitation expected to impact travel conditions in Paterson and nearby areas.

According to the National Weather Service, snow and sleet accumulations could reach up to two inches, with ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch. The advisory covers portions of northeast New Jersey, southern Connecticut, and southeast New York.

Officials warn that roads, particularly bridges and overpasses, could become slick and hazardous. The hazardous conditions may affect the Thursday morning commute, and drivers are urged to slow down and use caution.

Residents are advised to check local Department of Transportation updates for the latest road conditions. Pedestrians should also be cautious, as icy sidewalks, stairs, and driveways may increase the risk of falls and injuries.
