According to the indictment, the individuals were members or associates of the gang known as “100k,” which operates near North Main and Jefferson streets in Paterson. Since at least January 2022, they allegedly engaged in violent crimes, including murder, shootings, robberies, and drug trafficking.
Prosecutors say gang members targeted rival groups, including the Blockboyz, based in the Presidential Tower Housing Complex, and 4k, which operates near Rosa Parks Boulevard. The indictment details several acts of violence, including a fatal shooting on Oct. 1, 2023, in alleged retaliation for the death of a high-ranking gang member. Additional shootings in May, October, and November 2024 left multiple victims injured.
Authorities also allege the defendants financed gang activities through robberies, drug trafficking, and bank fraud. The indictment includes charges related to an armed robbery of a commercial marijuana store in January 2022 and the attempted armed robbery of a postal worker in July 2023, during which Reyes allegedly tried to obtain a key granting access to postal mailboxes.
The investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the New Jersey State Police, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office.
The RICO conspiracy charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison for some defendants, while others face up to 20 years if convicted. Additional charges related to drug trafficking and robbery carry mandatory minimum sentences ranging from five to seven years, with maximum penalties of up to 40 years or life in prison.
