Woman found dead after reports of gunfire in Paterson

A woman was found fatally shot early Wednesday on 27th Street and 19th Avenue in Paterson, authorities said.
Police responded to reports of shots fired at approximately 3:12 a.m. and discovered the victim with a gunshot wound, officials said. The woman, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing. Authorities ask anyone with information to contact the police detective bureau at 973-321-1120.
