Police responded to two separate reports of shots fired in Paterson on Thursday afternoon, with no injuries reported in either incident.
The first report came at approximately 4:20 p.m. in the area of 10th Avenue and East 23rd Street, where officers located a potential crime scene but found no victims, according to police.
About two minutes later, police were alerted to a second report of shots fired near 9th Avenue and East 28th Street. Officers responded and located another potential crime scene. No one was struck by gunfire in that incident either.
Authorities did not disclose whether the two incidents are believed to be related. The investigations are ongoing.
