A 28-year-old man was shot early Saturday morning in Paterson, prompting a police investigation.

Police said the man, a Paterson resident, was found with a non-fatal gunshot wound at approximately 1:47 a.m. in the area of Front Street and Preakness Avenue. He was taken to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities said a potential crime scene was located in the area. No arrests have been announced.
