Police were dispatched Tuesday at approximately 2:18 p.m. to a residence near Cianci and Market streets in Paterson after receiving a report of a stabbing.

Officers found a 70-year-old woman from Paterson inside the residence with multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
