City officials are closing Barnes Street in the Stoney Road section for a 12-month period in order to create a safer turn from that street onto Grand Street. Unsafe turn “due to limited sight distance” at the intersection of Barnes and Grand Streets is the reason for the closure.

In an effort to rehabilitate a more than 100 year old underground sewer pipe, the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission will close a section of 5th Avenue between Wait Street and East 12th Street for seven months.

Together North Jersey, a regional planning initiative, held a meeting on Thursday at the Bridgehope Community Church to collect the opinions of Patersonians on regional issues like inequality, discrimination, and food security. 25 people attended the meeting, and each took possession of a clicker to share their opinion with the Rutgers University run initiative.
Large mill building comes down on Ryle Avenue
