A 43-year-old woman was injured in a shooting on Sunday in downtown Paterson.

Police responded to a report of a shooting near Prospect Street and Market Street at approximately 9:57 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a 43-year-old woman from Paterson with non-fatal gunshot wounds. She was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

Police located a potential crime scene and are investigating the incident.
