welcome-to-paterson

Paterson and surrounding communities will begin the week with dry, pleasant conditions, but a series of disturbances are expected to bring multiple chances of showers and thunderstorms starting Tuesday and continuing into the weekend.

Monday will be the most stable day of the week, with sunny skies and a high near 77 degrees. Winds will remain light, shifting to the south by the afternoon. Overnight lows will fall to the low 60s under partly cloudy skies.

By Tuesday, temperatures will rise into the mid-80s ahead of an approaching weather system. Scattered showers may develop in the afternoon, with a chance of thunderstorms after 5 p.m. Rain chances increase into the evening and overnight, with a 50 percent chance of showers and storms continuing into early Wednesday.

Showery conditions are expected to persist mid- to late week. Wednesday through Saturday each bring a 40 to 50 percent chance of rain, with highs ranging from the low 70s to upper 70s and mostly cloudy skies dominating the forecast. Overnight lows will stay in the low to mid-60s.

While Sunday could see some gradual improvement, a lingering chance of showers remains, with partly sunny skies and a high near 75 degrees.

No widespread severe weather is expected at this time, but residents should be prepared for periods of rain and possible thunderstorms through much of the week.
