Both, Passaic County Court House and Lambert Castle, are in for some renovation, to preserve them for future generation. 2.8-million dollars has been dedicated to fixing up the inside and outside of the court house plus the annex, reported The Record. Lambert Castle, a royal-style palace built by the silk magnate Catholina Lambert, will receive a new roof, which will cost half-million dollars.
These restoration projects will extend the longevity of the sites, making them accessible to posterity — rather than falling on disrepair and eventual demolition.
