Paterson residents, Abdias Rosario, 28-years-old, and Edwin Santiago, 25-years-old, were caught with 18 ounces of cocaine, during a traffic stop in Denville, reported a local paper.

Abdias Rosario is a mother of a 5-year old and a 9-year-old.

Mr Santiago said through his lawyer, that he was merely getting a ride from Ms Rosario and had no knowledge of the drugs in her car.

Both individuals have been charged with possession and intent to distribute illicit drugs; each could face up to 20 years in prison.
