Chiropractor Gets 6 Months In Prison And House Arrest

A chiropractor, whose office is located on Chamberlain Ave, inside Paterson, has been sentenced to 6 months of prison and another 6 months of house arrest for filing  false tax returns few years back, reported a local newspaper.

Yanal Kazan, 60-years-old, a native of Kinnelon, NJ, pled guilty in the federal court. The 60 year old was also fined 10,000 dollars.

Mr Kazan operated a series of chiropractic businesses, which he used in his criminal activities; when an insurance company or an individual gave him a check, he would take it to a check-cashing place in Paterson and cash it, which allowed him to report a lower income on his tax returns. The 60-year old filed false returns in 2003, 2004, and 2005 according court documents.

Mr Kazan is expected  to pay 106,298 dollars in back taxes, for his wrong doing.
