Hinchliffe Stadium In Contest to Become National Landmark

Hinchliffe Stadium, a once great stadium where the Negro League played, located near the Great Falls, is in the running to become a National Landmark of the United States, reported a local paper.

The stadium has fallen into disrepair with graffiti plastered all over its outer and inner, its walls cracking and pieces falling off on contact, might get a new lease on life if it becomes a National Landmark. Representative Bill Pascrell Jr., who pushed and eventually got the Great Falls designated as a National Park, is doing his bit to see this dilapidated stadium brought back to life.

In November a federal committee will meet to decide the future of Hinchliffe Stadium.
