Some streets in Paterson have potholes big enough to swallow a standard size basketball. Residents file complaints, and it is rarely addressed, even after sending hundreds of them.
But there is a fix on the horizon. Next week the city council will pick a firm with pothole-repairing expertise to address the problem. It is unclear as to how many or which craters will be filled and fixed, but one hopes it will be a large enough number to make smooth major streets — those used often by most residents — inside the city.
