At a Temple Street home on Sunday a man arrived to pick up his 2-year-old daughter; the mother and the father got into an argument during the visit which resulted in the father pulling out a gun and threatening the mother, reported a local paper.

Edwin Mendez, 38-year-old, a native of Nutley and the father of the 2-year-old was later arrested by Newark police, and was charged with possession of weapon.

The little girl is in her mother’s custody.
