Mayor Jeffrey Jones, in 2011 wanted to start a new line of bottled waters: “Great Falls Spring” water, but the plan has been cut as a result of belt-tightening.

Most insiders thought the idea itself was farce; some, those who attended the State of the City address, where the bottled water idea was first floated, thought it was a joke.

But, it wasn’t; Mr Jones was serious about the idea.

In an effort to scrape together a budget the Paterson Municipal Utilities Authority has axed the project.
