A Paterson man lit a cigarette inside his car, where there was a can of gasoline, which lit up his entire car leaving him with burn scars, reported a local paper for Bloomfield.

The man was found near his vehicle screaming from agony and pain by a Bloomfield police officer; Bloomfield Fire Department later extinguished the burning man.

The incident unfolded on Saturday.

He was transported to a local hospital.
