A Paterson man displaced by Hurricane Sandy was posted at a hotel room in North Bergen where he sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl from Union City, reported the Star-Ledger.

Arnaldo A. Suarez, 30-year-old, meet the girl sometimes during Thanksgiving, and took her to a pizza place. Afterwards the 2 kept in contact through text messages, phone, and video chat.

On the Monday following the national holiday, the girl skipped school, and showed up to Mr Suarez’s hotel room, where she was raped.

When the girl’s family reported her missing the police found the man and arrested him. Mr Suarez faces various charges including sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
