9 homes that were damaged by floods in 2011 during Hurricane Irene will be bought out by the Federal Government through U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Deborah Hoffman, the director of Passaic County Department of Economic Development, told The Record, a Woodland Park based newspaper, that almost 12 million dollars worth of grants will be used through out the county to either buyout or elevate homes that were impacted by Hurricane Irene.
The storm of 2011 was intensely felt in the county, and especially so in Paterson.
