A resident of Paterson was arrested in Paramus on Wednesday for assaulting a police officer, reported the Star Ledger.

49-year-old, Joseph Daly, got into a heated verbal exchange with a security guard at the Garden State Plaza Mall, where he screamed, yelled, and shouted curse words at the security officers, but when a cop attempted to calm Mr Daly, he shoved him.

Daly has been charged with assaulting a policeman and disorderly conducted; he is being detained at the Bergen County Jail.
