A sawed-off shotgun, Mossberg 500C, was discovered by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office inside a trash can in East Side Park, after being tipped off by a credible source.

After receiving the tip on Wednesday, officers from the Passaic County Jail, went to the park little after 2pm, checked the trash can, and confiscated the weapon.

The informant also told the Sheriff’s office of gang meetings that take place in the park, and that shotgun was connected to it.
