A city woman, with a toddler in her arms, was getting ready to enter her home on East 17th Street, when a man she perceived to be armed came from behind and demanded her possessions.

The woman, 24-year-old, surrendered her purse and cellphone. After his demands were met the robber fled. The incident took place during the evening hours of Monday.

Paterson Police are investigating.
