In the morning, about 9:30am today, a man was shot and killed on Dundee Avenue, in Paterson’s peaceful southern section. When Paterson Police arrived on the scene after being tipped off they found a lifeless man lying dead on the street.

The man, 58-year-old, of Hispanic extraction was pronounced dead on the scene. The morning incident foreshadowed a violent day in the city where two individuals were shot within 24 hours.

Police are investigating the incident.
