A street fight on Park Avenue that ended with a shooting has left one man wounded and hospitalized, according to Paterson Police.

A man, 26-year-old, was involved in a street fight in the area of Park Avenue and 23rd Street at around 1:30am on Saturday morning when one of the brawlers pulled out a gun and let out a flurry of shots.

One of the bullets landed on the buttock of the 26-year-old victim leaving him hospitalized. After police responded to the scene, an ambulance transported the victim to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, where he remains in stable condition.

Police have yet to determine what caused the brawl on Park Avenue, but they are investigating.
