A teenager, who was treading on 12th Avenue, at around 5:30pm on Thursday, got into an argument with another man who was on the same street. The verbal altercation turned violent when the 19-year-old, was shot twice, and left on the street to die.
Police responded to the scene, and after investigating, pin-pointed a suspect: Lyndell Rountree, 32-year-old. At around 3am on Friday morning, Paterson Police spotted Mr Rountree passing by in a vehicle, and arrested him.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment and the suspect, who has been charged with attempted murder charge, remains in police lockup.
