34-year-old uses stolen truck to rob bagel shop

A local man, who stole a U-Haul truck from Shield Self Storage in Paterson, after smashing the glass window of that business, went to Hawthorne, where he broke into Lincoln Bagels, a bagel shop, according to the Record, a Woodland Park based newspaper.

Heriberto Torres, 34-year-old, managed to flee that town after the break-in, and entered Paterson; on River Street in Paterson, he was arrested during a traffic stop by a Fair Lawn police officer.

Mr Torres was charged with other criminal activities in Union City.

Authorities are unsure whether Mr Torres stole anything from the bagel shop.
