Early Sunday morning, at around 3am, Paterson Police received a call of shots fired at an apartment complex in Sussex Street; after police arrived on the scene they found two individuals: a woman, 18-year-old, wounded in the abdomen, and a man, 22, lying in the driveway, lifeless.

Both victims were transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, where the woman was treated and released; however, the man remains at the hospital in critical condition.

Police, after surveying and investigating the scene, have said that there was a fight that took place in the apartment complex which resulted in shots being fired that left the two victims wounded as a result.

Paterson Police are investigating the incident.
