A city resident who parked his car outside his home sometimes after 2am on Friday was victimized after stepping out of the vehicle when a gunman approached him and began firing rounds.
The victim, 22-year-old, male, was shot multiple times, in the arm, in the leg, and in the back, near East 26th Street. After wounding the victim, the suspect fled on foot.
The wounded man was able to get inside his home before collapsing on the floor. The incident appears to be a targeted, according to Paterson Police. There was no sign of an armed robbery, the suspect, came with the aim to eliminate the victim.
The victim is in St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center where he is in stable condition; police are investigating the incident.
