Two prepubescent youths who were hanging outside near Getty and Gould Avenues after midnight on Sunday were robbed at gunpoint by men dressed in hoodies, according to Paterson Police.

Both youths, 12-year-old, were approached by two men wearing masks and hoodies, one of whom had a gun. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the boys while the other demanded everything they had.

The boys lost their cell phones, but were uninjured.

Residents of Paterson have raised the question as to what the two boys of such age would be doing outside at that hour; some even asked where are the parents? The two boys did not live in their neighborhood; however, they had relatives who did.

Police are investigating the incident.
