Catholic Family and Community Service, an anti-poverty organization which provides homeless families with shelter, was awarded more than $1.7m in grant money from the federal government.
The organization was awarded $1,738,210 in federal grant to provide needy families with assistance through housing.
The charity which is part of the Diocese of Paterson provides a host of social services in the community including: English courses for new immigrants through its Father English Community Center.
