A man was shot and killed early Friday morning near Carroll Street, according to Paterson Police Department.

Tashan Hall, 33-year-old, was near Carroll Street and 16th Avenue, at around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, when he was struck by a bullet in the torso; a woman in her 20s, who was also at the scene, was shot, and suffered a gunshot wound to the arm.

Both victims were taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, where Hall was pronounced dead; the woman was treated and released from hospital.
