A man, who was walking on Godwin Avenue early Friday morning, was shot during a failed robbery attempted, according to Paterson Police Department.
The victim was walking on Godwin Avenue approaching Rosa Parks Boulevard, at around 1:45 a.m. on Friday, when two men approached him, and demanded everything he had. “The two men then demanded his money and his personal belongings,” according to police. The victim began screaming and yelling for help after the demand was made, and that’s when one of the suspects, who was armed, shot him. “Upon making this demand he started yelling for help and was shot by one of the suspects who then fled east on Godwin Avenue.”
Police found the wounded man in St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, after he somehow managed to make his way to the hospital, arriving by private car.
