After bringing superseding indictment against 28 members of the Bloods street gang operating out of Paterson, the FBI announced on Wednesday it has arrested the one remaining gang member who remained at large on Monday.
Hakim Lowery, 35, managed to preserve his freedom when the city’s police department completed a weekend sweep that resulted in the arrest of nine gang members.
Lowery is a member of the Fruit Town Brims set which operated out of the city. Charges of “distribution and possession with the intent to distribute heroin, “crack” cocaine, and powder cocaine” was brought against the gang member on Monday.
Federal authorities working with Paterson and Clifton police departments located and arrested Lowery on Tuesday.
