A city woman wounded another during an argument inside a home on East 27th Street on Monday afternoon, according to the Paterson Police Department.
Leigh White, 45-year-old, the suspect, was involved in an argument with the victim, 36-year-old, inside a home on East 27th Street near 17th Avenue at around 4:40 p.m. last Monday.
Police said the two women were involved in “an argument and physical altercation inside the residence” when White produced a gun and began firing.
“The alleged shooter, who has been identified as LEIGH WHITE, produced a firearm during the argument, and fired at the victim, striking her once in the left upper arm area,” said Patrick Murray, head of the department’s ceasefire unit.
The wounded victim was rushed to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. White has been charged with weapon’s possession and attempted murder, according to police.
