An accident at the intersection of Haledon Avenue and North 1st Street early Saturday morning left two people dead and two others in serious condition, according to authorities.
A vehicle was speeding on Haledon Avenue at around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday crashing into an electrical pole at the intersection of North 1st Street.
Inside the vehicle were four individuals who had to be rescued out of the totaled vehicle by firefighters at the scene.
Emergency responders found two had died and two others were rushed to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.
Authorities are investigating the crash and have yet to release names or further detail of the accident.
