A city man who was standing outside an establishment on Pennington Street during the evening hours of Sunday was wounded in the leg after a gunman fired multiple shots, according to the Paterson Police Department.
The victim, 22-year-old, city resident, suffered a single gunshot wound to the leg at around 10 p.m. Sunday while standing outside with a group of men near the intersection of Pennington and Market Streets, according to police.

“The victim then ran to a residence on Pennington Street seeking assistance and was subsequently transported by medical personnel for treatment,” said Murray.
The victim was treated at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center and released, according to police.
Detectives are investigating the incident by checking video footages and conducting interviews.
