The city’s public school system is holding early summer registration for new city residents with school age children at its district office during the months of July and August.
New city residents are encouraged to enroll their children early to avoid long waits in September.
A parent or guardian is required to accompany the student and bring proof of residency, child immunization record, original birth certificate, among other documents, to the district’s central office located at 90 Delaware Avenue.
The pre-k through grade 12 registrations are only being accepted at the district’s central office and not in neighborhood schools, according to the district. Parents will be able to register new students during 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Parents will be able to schedule evening registration – 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. — beginning August 19th, 2014 by calling (973) 321-2501.
