I would like to take a moment to welcome each and every one back to another school year. One that we all hope will be even more of a success than last year. I am excited that a new year is beginning. As any good parent, I love to see the students succeed in their academic efforts throughout the school year.

It is an even greater joy to see them walk across the stage each year to receive their diplomas as they graduate from pre-school all the way up to high school and college. I am optimistic that this year is going to yield some amazing results for our students and our city as a whole.

As our children prepare to return to school let us, as parents, prepare to be their support system. Not just financially but emotionally, spiritually and in every way necessary to help them excel and succeed on their collective academic journeys.

Make sure you know who all of their teachers are. Make sure you are aware of who the principal is and especially the child study team in your child’s school. I wish you all the best in this new school year.
