A city man is in police custody after shooting and killing his girlfriend during the evening hours of Tuesday, according to the Paterson Police Department.
Perfis E. Pena-Nunez, 30-year-old, shot and killed Jackie Delarosa-Rodriguez, 26-year-old woman, he had been dating in her Belmont Avenue home, according to a police press release.
Pena-Nunez walked into the police station at around 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday stating he had a problem with girlfriend.
Police responded to 140 Belmont Avenue to find the body of the woman inside a garage with a gunshot wound to the head. Pena-Nunez has been charged with murder and weapon offense.
The two had been living together in the past, according to police.
