As you are well aware, the poverty rate in our area continue to rise, as does hunger, especially among seniors and children. We must look to help our neighbors in need and work towards making positive differences in their lives.
The John A. Girgenti Civic League’s 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive on November 18th will benefit CUMAC-ECHO in Paterson, one of the largest food pantries in North Jersey.
Canned goods and non-perishables are needed to distribute to kitchens and shelters throughout the region. If you can spare any items, email us at [email protected].
As the former Senator representing Paterson, I know the good work that CUMAC-ECHO and many other organizations strive to do. I urge everyone to support these organizations that are making daily efforts to assist struggling families this holiday season.
When we all stand together, we can do amazing things. There is no power as strong as neighbors helping neighbors. Your generosity will go a long way towards giving help, and hope, to those in need.
Sincerely,
John A. Girgenti
