Shots fired from a parked vehicle at the intersection of 12th Avenue and East 16th Street left a man wounded in the leg during the early morning hours of Saturday.
The victim was in the area of 12th Avenue and East 16th Street at around 3:14 a.m. on Saturday. Police received calls a man was down in the area.
Witnesses said the shot that landed on the man was fired from a Chevy Tahoe that was parked at the corner of the street.
Seconds after firing shots the vehicle sped out of the area towards Godwin Avenue, witnesses said.
Police rushed the victim to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. His injuries are considered non-fatal.
