A handgun that was reported stolen at a Virginia pawn shop made its way stash area on Market and Cianci streets, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.

Detectives from the sheriff’s office recovered the silver CAC Bulldog .44 caliber Tuesday evening, Berdnik said.

The sheriff said detectives were provided with information that a handgun was stashed in the area.

Berdnik said the handgun was reported stolen out of a pawn shop in Virginia along with 24 other firearms.
