A man was struck with a baseball bat several times by one or more assailant on Broadway and Summer Street early Thursday morning, according to the Paterson Police Department.

The victim was hospitalized at around 1:55 a.m. on Wednesday. Police received a call from St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center’s emergency room about an aggravated assault victim had arrived for treatment.

Police said the victim told officers he was beaten with a bat at the corner of Broadway and Summer Street.
