Sunday’s Morris Canal Greenway hike will begin at 12 p.m. at the Lambert Castle and end at the Great Falls National Historical Park.
The two-mile long hike will last for four hours with moderate hiking on trial, steep incline, and easy walking on sidewalks. Hikes will learn about Paterson’s industrial history, the role the Morris Canal played in the development of northern New Jersey
Parking is available both at the Lambert Castle and the Great Falls National Historical Park. Hikers should bring lunch and water. No facilities are available during the duration of the free hike.
Hikers are expected to gather at the Lambert Castle, 3 Valley Road in Paterson, on Sunday, April 19 at 12 p.m. The hike will end at approximately 4 p.m.
